About Any Length Recovery, Inc.
Any Length Recovery, Inc. began in 1997. It grew quickly to capacity. Any Length is consistently full with a census of 75 residents, often with a waiting list. Our census demonstrates that there is a continual need for the type of recovery modality that Any Length provides. ALR is a viable option that filled a gap that existed in recovery for chemically dependent men and women. While treatment teaches one how to recover, ALR is where they do recover!
About the Program
There is substance to the program. It helps to change residents' whole attitude and outlook about life. It is obvious to all who have stepped onto this campus that there is something special here. Staff and alumni volunteers have a passion for helping those who, like them, had lost all hope. It is sometimes called "kitchen table" recovery, one recovered alcoholic/addict helping another. There are four meetings every day, opportunities to talk to alumni, senior residents and staff about problems and about solutions 20 hours a day and a program with clear directions to take.
- Success........We count our successes by the number of blue chips (year or multiple of years) picked up!
Grants and Donations
Any Length Recovery, Inc. became a 501C3 in 2001 and has since been awarded four grants. The first, in 2001, was a HUD Supportive Housing Program award. This was used to purchase and renovate one quadroplex building that added housing for eight additional residents. Another grant was approved by the Sumter County Council and awarded by the Santee-Lynche Regional Council of Governments HOME program as matching funds for the renovation and acquisition of this building.
A 2002 HUD grant was awarded to Any Length for the purchase and renovation of six more buildings and the South Carolina Housing Authority, Housing Trust Fund awarded matching funds.
All donations and grants go directly to projects that benefit residents.
Any Length desperately needs a suitable Community Center to house all of the meetings and functions held for the residents. Estimates have been made and the project can be completed for under $150,000.
We are now asking for donations of materials and funds to begin and complete this project.
While we know that your donation will be made from your desire to help a worthwhile project that will help hundreds of people to recover their lives, we want to remind you that all donations are tax-exempt. We will provide you with a receipt and verification of our tax-exempt status.
We invite you to visit us to see the physical facility, meet the residents and staff and get a sense of the wonderful work that is being done.
